Good Natured Family Farms Heritage Jellies are now available in our Produce Departments. These jellies are produced by Dan Kuhn on his farm in Courtland, Kansas.
Starting in August each year he begins his search for native, wild fruits. He has done this for several years and now knows many friends and neighbors who will help him in his search. They gather elderberries, crab apples, and wild plums. They process these fruits using an antique press, cook the fruits in an open kettle, and fill each jar – one at a time by hand.
All of this processing is done in the Cider Depot in Courtland, Kansas. The Depot was originally the Sante-Fe-Rock Island depot which was built in 1919.
These jellies are sweet with a very delicate flavor. Treat your family to a rare, local hand made treat.
They are available in our produce departments in gift packs and in 10 oz jars. The 10 oz jars retail for $3.99.
Available: Year Round - while supplies last.
