Email Hen House Market - Bakery - Tippins pies

The Tippin’s name has been a Kansas City tradition for nearly 30 years. Originally founded in 1978 as Pippin’s Restaurant and Pie Pantry, the first restaurant was located off 87th and Bluejacket in Overland Park, KS. Customers came from around the Kansas City area to experience the most delicious pies within hundreds of miles. In 1985, due to a national name conflict, it was necessary to change the restaurants name from Pippin’s to Tippin’s.
In the summer of 2004 the Tippin’s Restaurant and Pie Pantry closed their retail operations. Realizing the significance of the Tippin’s name, and what it meant to Kansas Citians, Hen House Markets purchased the original Tippin’s pie formulas and created Tippin’s Gourmet Pies, L.L.C. These gourmet pies are now being sold exclusively in Kansas City at all Hen House Markets.
